Understanding Potential
Potential displays as a percentage on hover — it represents how strong your item will be when fully upgraded with coins. Higher Pot means more damage, health, or spell power at max upgrade level.
Reroll weapons, armor, and rings at the Rerolls & Transfers station for gems. Each item rerolls once (marked with a purple Rerolled icon). Spells and sigils cannot reroll.
Crafting interactions
Secret armor Pot copies the Legendary base exactly. If the legendary was rerolled before crafting, the Secret piece shows the Rerolled mark. Plan Pot before spending Calamity materials.
Fabled weapons randomize base stats and upgrade counts on craft — budget 2000-gem rerolls until you hit acceptable Pot and perk slots.
Reading Potential percentage
Hover any weapon, armor piece, or ring for Pot percent — represents stat strength at full coin upgrade level. 90% Pot Secret piece dramatically outperforms 80% at same upgrade tier.
Pot displays before and after gem reroll at Rerolls & Transfers station — compare preview carefully. One reroll per item maximum, marked purple Rerolled after use.
Spells and sigils have no Pot — evaluate by raw tooltip multiplier or effect text only.
Gem budgeting framework
Early game: hoard gems — do not reroll Raided Village gear. Mid game: reroll Legendary pieces destined for Secret craft only if below 88% Pot.
Endgame: Fabled weapon base stat rerolls cost 2000 gems each — budget ten to twenty attempts. Secret ring base reroll costs 500 gems — cheaper but substats still lock at craft.
Reroll cost scales with rarity — check station UI before confirming. Higher rarity items cost more gems per reroll attempt.
Crafting lock-in warnings
Secret armor Pot copies Legendary at craft — irreversible. Fabled weapon randomizes base on craft then accepts gem rerolls — different pipeline.
If Legendary was rerolled pre-craft, Secret inherits rerolled stats and shows Rerolled mark — still permanent.
