Calamity Mode guide
Enable Calamity from the dungeon difficulty panel before entering. Enemy damage and HP spike significantly — bring a Guardian and learn every boss telegraph.
Material drops required for Secret crafting only appear in Calamity from Ragnarök's Descent onward. Pair Calamity with Material Boost events and optional Hardcore if clears stay fast.
Enabling and first clears
Toggle Calamity on difficulty panel before entering dungeon — not changeable mid-run. Available from Ragnarök's Descent upward on mainline dungeons.
First Calamity clear: learn Expert patterns first, bring Guardian friend if possible, flask nothing — treat as learning run. Material drops reward persistence even on slow clears.
Enemy HP and damage spike significantly — floor AoE one-shots undergeared players. Secret armor not mandatory for first Ragnarök's Calamity but recommended by Thundering Peaks.
Party composition
Standard Calamity quartet: one Guardian, two DPS (Warrior/Mage mix), one flex. Guardian pulls boss, Taunt before enrage, call add spawns.
Pub groups without Taunt: Mages kite, Warriors risk melee deaths. Success rate drops — use Discord LFG for progression tiers.
Voice comms help but typed "Taunt up" / "Burst now" callouts work for disciplined groups.
Material farm optimization
Pair Calamity with Material Boost events and Hardcore if clear under ten minutes. Target highest dungeon you stabilize — not highest unlocked if wipe rate high.
Mob materials from trash, boss materials from final boss — both required for Secret craft. See crafting guide.

First wipe on new Calamity tier is learning data — note which telegraph killed you before requeueing with adjusted positioning.
